What is Empathic Leadership?
“Empathetic leadership is a challenge to all leaders to have the ability to recognize what is going on with another person, understand that feeling, and take action on it in the matter needed in that situation. It is extremely complex but extremely rewarding as a leader to put this ideal into practice and see the results.”
What skills or competencies did you enhance through the coaching process?
“Throughout the process many skills were worked on, honed and sharpened with a major focus on relationships and self-management. The biggest area of improvement for myself was in regard to self-management. In order to take care of your people you must first take care of yourself, this lesson has brought tremendous result for myself as a business professional and leader.”
Share an example of a goal that you have realized as a result of coaching.
“"Focus on freedoms not limitations". This goal to me was the most important takeaway from the coaching process. What may appear to be a small goal, is actually a full process that requires a large amount of discipline, self-management, and execution in order to maintain a lasting result. This goal is used constantly in my day to day in both my personal and professional life.”
What do professionals need to start anticipating as the change needed to be a strong leader?
“Leaders need to be flexible and understand that no one person is the same, that coaching and leading a team requires differentiation, patience and hard work. I believe that if more leaders focused on truly caring about your people first, the results will come naturally.”
