What is Empathic Leadership?
“Empathetic leadership is understanding the needs, thoughts and emotions of others and using that awareness to help. Help can come in many forms but it's only through empathetic leadership that you can truly find what will work best for them.”
What skills or competencies did you enhance through the coaching process?
“I personally felt that I enhanced my ability to identify how others are feeling and where the root of their actions and emotions came from. I also enhanced my ability to lead and build courage to tackle difficult situations. I feel that I take on challenges head on and rely on my values to get me through.”
Share an example of a goal that you have realized as a result of coaching.
“An example of a goal that I have realized would be to continue learning and working on my professional development, specifically in the world of networking and getting myself out there."
What do professionals need to start anticipating as the change needed to be a strong leader?
“I think professionals needs to focus on company culture and how that sets up an employee to be a strong leader. I also think Emotional Intelligence is an area that needs more focus. EI is the foundation for working with others in an effective manner. That will provide strong leadership.”
Describe Michael Sgro as a professional coach.
“Michael is an extremely supportive and engaging coach. After your first visit, you feel an immediate connection that is hard to explain. It never once felt like I was a client and always felt like I was a friend. We were able to build trust that allowed me to feel comfortable to speak openly and freely. Michael cares about his clients. I honestly think he would do anything for his clients to make sure they succeed regardless of time and compensation. I am very grateful for Michael.”
Anything else you want to share about leadership?
“I always felt that I was a "natural" born leader. I was attracted to it. After spending time in Michaels program, I now feel that I know what a true leader can be and look forward to strengthening my skills. Leadership is hard to quantify and comes in many ways. I don't think you can ever stop growing your leadership. There is always more to learn!”
