Coach Sgro launched a new workshop on mentorship for area community leaders on Friday, April, 1 at the Rosamond Gifford Zoo. Over 40 attendees of executive directors, CEO's, HR professionals and team leaders engaged in the topic of mentorship. The professionals were from a wide ranging set of industries, including technology, military, education, tourism, retail, marketing, nonprofit, legal, medical, construction, photography, museum, food, conservation and financial.
Coach Sgro made the connections between behavior, the human condition, organizational values and mentorship being a construct between a mentor and another mentor. He says emphatically, "Mentorship is now mentor to mentor, there are no more mentees."
Al the professionals left understanding the "various colors" of human behavior with a custom roadmap that they created by the end of the workshop. He advised that you have to match the opposites in mentorship programs. "We all have something to learn and teach."
Coach Sgro extends gratitude for our host, the Rosamond Gifford Zoo, who helped us create a perfect atmosphere for learning AND his Aunt Fran, who is his greatest mentor. Aunt Fran helped prepare the materials and was the greeter to the workshop with the local Degu's.
